In Revelation 3:16, our Blessed Lord says, “Because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I will spit you out of my mouth.”
Our Lord does not call us to passivity. He call us to conversion, to courage, to fire.
Here’s the hard truth: when a man becomes spiritually passive, everyone downstream from him pays the price- his wife, his children, and even his parish. Yet how easy it is for us as men to drift, to coast, to treat our faith as something secondary.
St. John Chrysostom put it plainly “Nothing is colder than a Christian who does not care for the salvation of others.”
The Church needs strong men. Our parish needs strong men. Our families need strong men— men who take responsibility for their own souls and for those God has entrusted to them.
That’s why we are starting COR, a men’s faith-sharing group here at the parish.
This will cost you time. It may challenge your comfort. It may expose areas where you’ve been coasting-and that’s a good thing.
If you want to fight for your soul, grow as a man of faith, and walk alongside other men striving for holiness, then come.
Our first meeting will be February 22nd between Masses in the PAC.
